Sonia Iodice

After teaching for twenty years, I was lucky enough to come across the profession of celebrant at a secular funeral, which I really enjoyed. Following this real crush, I trained and launched myself into this new activity.

I find this profession fascinating in many ways: being close to people, listening to the stories they have to tell, writing them down, telling them, that’s what I like and find worthwhile, that’s what drives me to go deep inside myself to find the words that ring true to the ears and hearts of those who mandate me. I believe deeply in the power of words and try to give meaning and beauty to the texts I write for the various occasions that come my way.

I am a Certified Professional Celebrant with Ceremoniae (recognized by EduQua), and also hold a Master’s degree in literature (University of Geneva).

A lover of books, music, nature and languages, I can also officiate in Spanish, Italian and English.
